Our Home Addition Process
With twenty years in the industry, we have developed a process to help guide our clients through a home addition project with confidence.
1.Consultation
When you contact us, we will arrange a phone consultation to get a sense of the scope of your project, and what you hope for with your addition. This consultation will give us an idea of possible budgets, timelines, and give us time to go over our design process with you.
2.Design and Development
The design phase is when we spend the time with you to help us understand what you would like the final product to be.
We take your wish list and transform it into practical details like the finishes, materials, and trades your addition will require. Our excellent engineers, designers, and architects will work with us to develop a more accurate budget and realistic timeline that fits your life.
Once we have completed our consultation we will share our Design and Development presentation for your approval. This will include everything from 3D renderings, to a detailed quote.
3.Pre-Construction Pre-Construction is when Francis Renovations ensures that when the project construction is ready to start everything is prepared, and we are able to come into your home and complete the project with the least disruption to you and your family. We review and finalize your construction agreement, receive your deposit, order all materials and set dates based on material delivery. You will be made aware of all scheduled hours and the timeline. We work with you throughout every phase of your project to address any concerns and to ensure that you are confident about the progress of your home addition.
4.Construction
Our weeks of planning are now a reality, and our team will work to make sure that we disrupt your life as little as possible while we complete your home addition.
5.Love Your Space
When our Francis Renovations team is done, and your addition is complete, we will do a walk through with you to make sure that the final product is exactly as you hoped it would be. We know that it takes some time in your new space to notice things that may need fixing. You can contact us up to three weeks after the completion of your job to let us know about things that need amending. We will contact you one year after your addition is done to check in and see that you are still happy with your home.
